Suikido Body Treatment

Combining Oriental Healing Arts, Modern Curative Research, Physiotherapeutic Treatment, Rehabilitation, Functional Training & Therapeutic Exercise.

We recognize and understand that the body expresses itself through interconnectivity; and that conditions and phenomena are not isolated events – they reflect and mirror the state of the Whole.

Suikido Holistic Physio Therapy

These treatment therapies are complete within themselves and can be applied as individual treatments.

Also, they are synergistic and complementary and can intertwine during a treatment session or a treatment program.

We prefer to engage the full spectrum of our experience and knowledge. Hence a Suikido Body Treatment program is often a tailor-made combination of our 3 core treatment therapies.

Body Balancing Therapy

A diverse and synergistic whole-body treatment system that combines energy-flow techniques, deep tissue therapy, dynamic stretching, mobilization and release techniques with curative movement and therapeutic exercise.

The multiplicity of the system allows us to address: freedom of motion, interconnectivity, energy-flow and responsiveness throughout the body; problematic areas, tensions, injury, and trauma; joint functionality and overall suppleness; kinesthetic awareness, neuromuscular communication, and core strength.

The Suikido therapist uses hands, feet, elbows, knees, and body as therapeutic tools. The treatment is performed laying on a futon mattress wearing loose clothes that allow free body movement.

Ayurvedic Oil Massage

A deep-tissue massage that merges Ayurvedic Kalari Chikitsa/Chavutti Thirumal and Japanese Shiatsu and Ashiatsu.

The foundation of this treatment is the application of long cohesive massage movements that follow the biomechanical function and the energetic pathways of the body.

For each treatment we blend a medicinal herbal oil that is formulated to address the specific tissues and bodily systems in need of attention, be it; blood-flow, muscle-tendon-joints, nervous system, breathing, skin, digestive system, neuromuscular connection, etc.

The Suikido therapist uses hands, feet, elbows, and knees as therapeutic tools. The treatment is performed laying on a futon mattress wearing only a small loin cloth.
